Msida Local Council Ongoing ProjectCivic Centre
It was way back in 1997, that the Msida Local Council started planning on building a Civic Centre, today found at Pjazza Menqa, Msida. Through this Centre, the Council aimed to be able to better deliver all its services, whilst having the physical capacity to deliver services effictiently as in the private sector. Following years of planning and negotiations, it was in February 2007, that the construction of the Centre started, with it’s official opening being on the 3rd of February 2008.read more

The Msida Local Council has just opened a Day Centre for the elderly within its Civic Centre at Pjazza Menqa Msida, in conjunction with the Parliamentary Secretariat for the Elderly and Community Care.
The Centre is open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Those interested attending are encouraged to apply at the Local Councils offices.
The Msida Local Council shall be carrying out traffic management related works at Victor Denaro street, starting May 2011.
Works are to include:
- Relaying of water main at Victor Denaro street
- Rebuilding of pavements at Victor Denaro, Giovanni Schranz, and Michele Bellanti streets
- Building of a parking area and traffic management at Victor Denaro street
This project shall be increasing pedestrian and vehicular traffic safety for this very busy area.
Works are expected to be completed within 6 weeks.
The Msida Local Council has commenced road construction works leading to the rebuilding of Princess Margaret Street, Msida.
Works shall include:
1) Repair and relay Drainage Main Sewer
2) Relay Water Main
3) Levelling and Asphalting Princess Margaret Street
4) Pavement Works
